Activity description

With the theme of different colors and materials , we explore emotions and stress with students.

Activity highlight

At the end of January, the committee held its first on-campus mental wellness activity, "Stress Be Gone · Bottle of Happiness", based on the concept of using materials in different colours to represent various emotions. The activity encouraged students to explore their emotions and stress, with 78 students participating.

The committee members prepared stress containers and various materials, each symbolising different emotions (like cotton equals feeling calm, red ribbon equals anger etc). Participants could use the materials to fill their own stress containers, representing the level of stress they were experiencing. At the same time, the committee members also prepared cards with different stress-relief methods, inviting students who completed their stress containers to immediately try out the methods on the cards (those who couldn’t try them immediately could try them at home later). Finally, students could take their stress containers and associated cards home, allowing them to always monitor their stress levels.

With great enthusiasm, they carefully choose different materials to create their very own stress containers. Each one is unique and reflects the students' creativity and thoughtful design.

The committee members were delighted to see the students actively participating in the activity and creatively expressing and releasing their emotions. The event not only helped everyone better understand stress and emotions but also provided a relaxed opportunity to explore ways to manage mental health. It was an enjoyable and insightful experience for both students and teachers!

Purpose behind this activity

The committee hopes that through the activity, students will develop a more positive mindset, enabling them to find stress-relief methods that work for them when faced with pressure, thereby enhancing their resilience.
