Pre-exam "Gift" Workshop

Activity description
The club organised a Fluid Bear and Sunny Doll workshop to help reduce students' pre-exam stress.
Activity highlight
In mid-December, the committee members held its first campus-wide mental wellness activity: the pre-exam "Gift" workshop. The activity featured Fluid Bear and Sunny Doll workshops designed to reduce students' stress before exams, attracting 150 participants, including both staff and students.
In the Fluid Bear workshop, the committee members invited instructors from Jockey Club Jat Min Youth Spot to teach students how to make Fluid Bears. The workshop not only allowed students to understand the creative process behind Fluid Bears but also gave them the chance to make their own bears. The instructor first introduced the materials and tools needed, then demonstrated how to mix the coloured liquids and pour them into the moulds. In the end, each student took home their own unique Fluid Bear as a souvenir of this creative activity.
In the Sunny Doll workshop, the committee invited students to select a Sunny Doll in their favourite colour from a long table and decorate it using the provided pens and materials. The focus of the activity was to help students find a way to alleviate stress before exams, and to enhance their mental health through the creative process. By decorating the Sunny Dolls, students could express their feelings and release their stress, allowing each doll to become an outlet for their emotions. After completing their creations, students received their very own self-made Sunny Doll, which symbolises good luck, positive energy, and hope, serving as a reminder to maintain a positive mindset when facing exams. The committee also thoroughly enjoyed the event, as it was their first time making Fluid Bears, and they were all very excited and eager to take part.

Purpose behind this activity
The committee hopes that through this activity, students can find inner peace during the process of making Fluid Bears and Sunny Dolls, becoming more aware of their thoughts. After completing the activity, they hope students will take their creations home as a reminder to take a moment to relax and create space for rest when facing stress in daily life.
