Positive Education & Healthy Living Week – LevelMind Booth Games

Activity description
During Positive Education and Healthy Living Week, the Student Wellness Club booth activities were organised to encourage students to learn simple ways to relax, raise awareness of mental well-being, and practise self-care. Through light-hearted and interactive games, students were guided to stay present, release stress, and enjoy a moment of calm during the school day.
Activity highlight
In mid-December, the Wellness Club The Sunshine Within held its first-ever activity — the Positive Education & Healthy Living Week LevelMind Booth Games, which attracted around 80 student participants.
In Activity 1, each student was given a table tennis ball, a shuttlecock, and a big plastic ball, and challenged to toss them into baskets of different sizes. Through this game, students practised staying focused and calm, and learned that “it’s okay to try again after failing.” Many students were fully engaged and able to concentrate on the activity, enjoying the process rather than the result.

Even when they didn’t succeed on the first try, students adjusted their mindset and tried again.
In Activity 2, each student received four table tennis balls and attempted to toss them into ten small cups, one ball at a time. This activity allowed students to experience challenge, success, and disappointment in a fun setting. When initial attempts were unsuccessful, students were encouraged to cheer themselves on, adjust their mindset, and try again, learning how to manage emotions through experience.

The committee members were delighted to see students relaxing through laughter and interaction, and to witness how physical activities can also serve as a way to support mental well-being.
Purpose behind this activity
The club hopes to remind teachers and students that taking care of the mind is just as important as taking care of the body. As long as you give yourself some time to move around, breathe, and enjoy the present moment, your mood will gradually become more relaxed.
