Ga Some Sweets

Activity description
The activity is centered around distributing drinks, helping students boost their energy after the exam period and enhancing their resilience.
Activity highlight
In mid-January, the committee held its first school-wide mental wellness activity, centred around distributing drinks to encourage students, with 467 teachers and students participating.
The activity was divided into two sessions: during lunch and after school. At lunch, the committee members went to the Form 1 classrooms to invite students to write down stress-relief methods and, in return, receive a cup of hot Ovaltine made by the committee members. After school, two notice boards were set up at the school gates: the first was for stress, where students could write down their post-exam stress, and the second was for stress-relief, where students and committee members wrote down their own relaxation tips. Upon completing these tasks, students received a drink (including brown sugar bubble milk tea, various flower teas, and hot Ovaltine), offering them a little sweetness and comfort during the post-exam period. The committee members were deeply moved to see so many students enthusiastically taking part and hoped that students could relax a bit during the post-exam period.

The committee members worked together to distribute drinks to the Form 1 students who were having their lunch.

In the chilly weather, the Form 1 students really enjoyed the hot Ovaltine prepared by the committee members.
Purpose behind this activity
The committee hopes to invite students to write down methods for coping with stress that they can apply in their daily lives. The distribution of drinks aims to help relax their anxiety and stress, while also reminding students that they are not alone – the school has companions and people to support them.
