Digital Wellbeing Lecture: Using Electronic Devices Wisely

Activity description
To help Form 2 students build balanced and self-disciplined digital habits while relieving the psychological burdens of excessive screen time, the club organized the "Digital Wellbeing Lecture: Using Electronic Devices Wisely" on the morning of March 20th. Aligning with Relaxation and Resilience from the "4Rs Mental Health Charter," the event specially invited alumnus Mr. Joe Liang (Class of 2025) to share his personal journey. Through sincere peer-to-peer sharing and interactive dialogue, the lecture guided students to reflect on the impact of screen time, empowering them with practical self-management strategies to safeguard their mental wellness.
Activity highlight
The speaker openly shared his junior form struggles with gaming and social media distractions, and detailed his transition in senior forms toward utilizing technology productively for learning and exam stress management. Students were highly inspired by his practical tips, such as turning off notifications and scheduling "no-phone" blocks. During the subsequent interactive Q&A session, Form 2 students engaged enthusiastically, submitting written questions and sharing their own insights on digital usage. This highly relatable peer dialogue successfully injected positive energy into campus digital wellness.

Purpose behind this activity
The club hopes that through this lecture, students realize that while enjoying the convenience of technology, stepping away from screens and embracing offline life is equally vital for emotional regulation. We encourage students to adopt the practical strategies shared by their senior as daily stress-relief tools, reminding them to actively seek screen-free relaxation whenever experiencing digital fatigue. Moving forward, the club will remain dedicated to promoting the importance of mental wellness, organizing diverse activities that foster reflection and support, and walking hand-in-hand with our Pauline brothers to build a healthy and self-disciplined campus environment.
