A Letter to Form 6: A Card of Care

Solicitude - Yan Chai Hospital Law Chan Chor Si College

Activity description

In order to send blessings to Form 6 students and support them as they face public exams and major life transitions, the club specially organized the “A Letter to Form 6: A Card of Care” activity. Committee members visited different classrooms and handed out small “study‑support” gift packs to the graduating Form 6 students, which included handwritten encouragement cards and chocolates. Through this gesture, the club hoped to remind students that, even during their busy exam preparation, it is important to look after their mood and energy as they prepare for public examinations and the next stage of life.

Activity highlight

During the activity, committee members were divided into groups and went from class to class, delivering the gifts and briefly explaining the purpose of the activity. When students received the cards, they often paused their notes and smiled, and some even read the handwritten messages in full before the lesson began. Although the entire process was brief, the atmosphere was warm and meaningful, adding a real sense of emotional connection to teacher–student relationships and peer support.

Committee members here - just to cheer you on!  💪

Purpose behind this activity

The club hopes that through this activity, Form 6 students will feel the care and support of their peers in the stressful period before their exams, and come to understand that taking care of mental health is not only about academic results, but also about rest, emotional expression, and self‑validation. The committee members hope that, in moments of high pressure, recipients of the cards and gifts will remember that they do not have to face difficulties alone; even if they cannot overcome challenges immediately, they are still understood and valued. In the future, the club also hopes to continue this warmth in different forms and keep building a school environment that places greater attention on mental well‑being for senior students and other year groups.
