Vanish , Stress!

HKPC FRIENDS - Confucian Tai Shing Ho Kwok Pui Chun College
Arc

Activity description

The activity consisted of two parts:

  • Part One: Students wrote down their recent worries or concerns on sticky notes, then threw them away. This symbolized their ability to let go of stress and clear their minds, helping them relax both physically and mentally.
  • Part Two: Students released stress by hitting the roly‑poly toy. Afterwards, committee members asked which part of their body usually reacts first when they feel stressed or unwell — for example, stomach pain.

Based on the students’ responses, committee members distributed corresponding self‑care gifts, encouraging students to recognize early warning signs and pay attention to their own wellbeing in the future.

Self‑Care Gift List:

Head — Eye mask

Hands — Textured stone

Stomach — Gummies

Heart — Heart‑shaped plush toy

Whole body / no symptoms

Activity highlight

The activity engaged over 130 students and teachers. During the planning stage, committee members enthusiastically discussed the event flow — some even stood up and acted out their ideas with gestures, eager to make the activity more fun! One creative idea emerged: designing a “Kirby box” where students could throw in their worries and stress, symbolizing letting go. This proposal was unanimously approved by all committee members.

On the day of the event, the Club committee worked together to decorate the venue, showing great teamwork and unity. The response was even more enthusiastic than expected. Students actively wrote their emotions on memo notes and loved hitting the roly‑poly toy to vent stress. Many participants even asked to play multiple times, showing how popular the activity was. Seeing the students enjoy themselves gave the committee members a strong sense of satisfaction.

Students wrote down their recent stress and emotions on memo notes and threw them into the Kirby box, as if unloading a heavy burden from their hearts.

Purpose behind this activity

Many of the students often experience high levels of stress, suppressing their feelings and ignoring the pressure. To encourage students to actively recognize their own state, the Club organized this activity with the aim of helping them start by noticing physical signals of stress. Through this awareness, students are reminded to care for themselves and take timely rest.
