Throw Away Your Worries – Helping students learn how to relieve stress.

Activity description
The SPHRC Kung Yik She Secondary School held their first activity on 14/4, being a dart-throwing activity. Through the activity, students were not only able to relax and release stress, but also to learn relaxation techniques. The organizing committee also prepared small gifts for the participants, including encouraging cards and stickers, snacks, and stress-relief keychains.
Activity highlight
Their wellness activity is named "Throw Away Your Worries" as they wanted their schoolmates to learn more about methods to relieve stress, and more importantly make use of them in their daily lives! Cards of different stress scenarios were provided, and they would have to think of their own stress relief strategies while throwing the balls at the dart.

Students aim at the stress target🎯
Cute prizes were also prepared for their schoolmates, including a squishy notepad (also for stress relief!), postcards and stickers with positive messages on it and some snacks. The students enjoyed the game a lot and found the gifts useful, serving as a reminder for them to be mindful of their stress level and how to relieve stress.
The committee member noted that this activity promotes students' mental health in two ways. First, by throwing stress balls and spinning colorful frisbees, students can transform negative emotions and release pressure. Second, it enhances their sense of self-identity. After successfully listing three solutions and throwing the stress balls, they earn prizes, boosting their confidence in problem-solving. Thus, they believed this event was very successful; it not only engaged students and alleviated their mental and physical stress but also brought them joy.
Purpose behind this activity
Through the activity, we hope students can explore various stress-relief methods in a fun way, learning to take care of themselves. Additionally, participants are required to come up with three creative "problem-solving" methods during the games, which not only boosts their confidence in facing challenges but also enhances their psychological resilience.
