The End of Secondary School is a New Starting Point in Life

Activity description
To cheer on F6 students preparing for the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (DSE), the activity allows them to write their expectations or pressures on "wishing bookmarks." This helps them express the stress of exam preparation as they hang the bookmarks on a wishing board. Additionally, committee members set up an encouragement board where students from F1 to F5 can write messages of support on cards. The committee members also organise a song broadcast session, collecting slips and broadcasting the students during lunch breaks along with words of encouragement, hoping to help F6 students relax and feel motivated before their exams.
Activity highlight
The wellness club "Soul ∞ Connection" held the first in-school wellness activity in late February. On the final school day for F6 students, committee members organised an event named "The End of Secondary School is a New Starting Point in Life." A key part of the event was the wishing board, designed to cheer on F6 students facing the DSE. Approximately 100 F6 students wrote their hopes or burdens on bookmarks to relieve exam-related stress and hung them on the board. On the day of the event, committee members distributed the bookmarks in the morning for students to hang during recess or lunch. During the lunch break, a song broadcast session was held, where committee members read out encouraging messages for their F6 seniors over the PA system and played requested songs. The most memorable moment was seeing F6 students hang their bookmarks and cheer for their own aspirations. The feedback from them was overwhelmingly positive! Overall, the committee members felt the response was enthusiastic, making it a meaningful and fun experience for both the club and the students.
F6 students are hanging up their wish tags to wish themselves well for the future.
Purpose behind this activity
Through this activity, the committee members hope to reduce the stress F6 students feel before the DSE. They expect that through the wishing board and song request sessions, F6 students can express their expectations and find an outlet for their pressure.
