The Chill-Out Shaved Ice Shop

Activity description
To help students relieve academic burdens and prioritize their psychological well-being in a relaxed atmosphere, the "Pacers" club organized "The Chill-Out Shaved Ice Shop" activity. Aligning with Relaxation and Relationship from the "4Rs Mental Health Charter," students were invited to choose and blend flavors and colors that reflected their current mood. Through the hands-on process of making and sharing shaved ice with friends, the event aimed to guide students in releasing school stress and embracing the joy of the present moment, thereby promoting mental wellness.
Activity highlight
The event was filled with a harmonious and joyful atmosphere, successfully attracting 41 participants. To kick off the session, club committee members thoughtfully introduced the concept of self-care, guiding students to pause and check in on their emotions amidst their busy routines.
During the hands-on session, students unleashed their creativity by drizzling colorful syrups onto the shaved ice, turning their abstract moods into tangible, vibrant creations. Many students joined with friends, enjoying the refreshing icy treats while chatting happily, with polaroid cameras capturing their genuine smiles. This therapeutic and visually delightful interaction provided a perfect space for students to unwind, beautifully nourishing everyone's mental wellness.

Purpose behind this activity
The "Pacers" club hopes that through "The Chill-Out Shaved Ice Shop," students experienced the relaxing power of mindfulness and being in the present moment. We encourage students to extend the self-care concepts learned during the activity into their daily lives, finding healthy outlets to destress when facing academic pressure or emotional fluctuations. Moving forward, the club will continue to promote the importance of mental wellness and present more fun, therapeutic school activities, working together with students to cultivate a supportive, loving, and positive campus environment.
