"Sweet to Your Heart" — Healing the Moment Through Taste

Activity description
This event invited students to slow down and, by focusing on the simple act of “eating,” rediscover the relationship between food, the senses, and themselves. Using jelly as a medium, students were guided to practice non-judgmental awareness, learning how to connect with the present moment and experience the healing and calm that mindful eating can bring.
Activity highlight
In this "Sweet to Your Heart" event, the club members prepared “encouragement cards” for students to write uplifting messages to themselves or their peers, spreading warmth and support.

Students used their creativity and drawings to cheer each other on!
The activity was not only a chance to relax the body and mind, but also a journey of self-awareness, appreciation, and mutual support. At the end, students received handmade jelly crafted in collaboration with the Home Economics Club as a small gift. Through this tiny jelly treat, a gateway to mindfulness and focus was opened. While enjoying their jelly, students could also share their eating experiences on a message board.

The committee distributed the jelly, encouraging students to savor it slowly.
Purpose behind this activity
"Sweet to Your Heart" is more than a unique tasting experience; it’s a lesson in life awareness and self-care. We hope students will bring the spirit of mindful eating into their daily lives—whether it’s during meals, snacks, or other small moments—by slowing down and returning to the present. In doing so, they can catch a breath amidst the chaos and truly “digest” with the heart. A handwritten encouragement card is more than just words—it’s a gesture of understanding and companionship. In the future, the committee aims to continue organizing creative and mindful activities, enabling students to practice “caring for themselves and others” in everyday moments, becoming guardians of each other’s mental well-being.
