"Stone" Healing Room

Activity description
Committee members held the "Stone" Healing Room activity, to let students create "stone pets" that serve as their "listeners." As unconditional companions, stone pets ensure students' privacy and are available anytime, anywhere to listen to their worries. When students face difficulties, they can immediately confide in their stone pets to address problems that feel unsolvable alone, thereby alleviating feelings of loneliness. During the creation process, students use various colours of acrylic markers to draw their favourite designs and decorate the stones, which helps to relieve stress.
Activity highlight
In mid-March, the wellness club "K.Serenity organised the second wellness activity. This after-school event, named the "Stone" Healing Room, attracted approximately 70 students. The committee members first introduced the ways of production and shared the purpose of the activity: to reduce student stress and let the stone pets become their "listeners." Following the sharing session, committee members distributed stones of different sizes and paints to the participants. Students painted the stones based on their current feelings and interests; they were highly engaged, and some even designed several small pets!
Students are entriving themselves on creating their own stones with colorful pens.
Purpose behind this activity
Through this activity, the committee members aim to alleviate student stress. It is hoped that by creating stone pets in the "Stone" Healing Room, these companions will become the students' "listeners." By allowing students to share their thoughts with their stone pets at any time, the activity seeks to achieve a state of relaxation for the body, mind, and soul.
