Stars in Harmony — Understanding the diversity of emotions

Activity description
Committee members set up a booth game featuring a matching game using a set of emotion cards created by them.
Activity highlight
Heart Rest Club successfully held its first in-school wellness activity, "Stars in Harmony," in March, attracting over 60 students to join.
During lunch, the club members set up a game booth featuring a matching game using a set of cards about emotions and their functions. Students matched emotion-related words with their corresponding functions (e.g., "Anxiety + Preparing for the future"), exploring the diversity of emotions. This activity helped students understand and express emotions while recognizing their multifaceted nature.
Students who correctly matched the cards received encouraging messages written on star-shaped paper by the club members, along with an ice cream voucher, making the activity both fun and uplifting.
An origami star from the club, along with the message: “Face challenges and overcome yourself!”
The activity not only helped students gain a deeper understanding of various emotions and their own emotional states but also conveyed the message that emotions are neither good nor bad. It further fostered interaction and communication among the students.
Purpose behind this activity
After the exams, many students may feel anxious about their results. This activity aims to help students face and understand different emotions, guiding them through games to transform negative emotions into positive energy and motivation. It also encourages students to actively prioritize their mental health while helping teachers better understand their needs.
