Singles Day Carnival

AURA - St. Paul's Co-educational College
Arc

Activity description

During the school’s Singles Day Carnival, the club ran a booth with their own custom Rainbow Coin Toss game. Students could answer a few fun multiple-choice questions about self-care and mental wellness to earn a chance to play and win snacks or drinks. Around the booth, the club also put up posters with mental health resources to spread awareness and encourage students to take care of their well-being.

Activity highlight

The event was held on Singles’ Day (11/11), a day meant to celebrate being single — just like how Valentine’s Day celebrates relationships. It was a big success, with around 400 students taking part and having a great time. Music played throughout the day, and many students sang along while enjoying the club’s game. The booth was so popular that it got quite crowded at times, which made it a bit tiring to manage. It was also very windy, causing some decorations to blow away. Still, everyone had a lot of fun, and the overall atmosphere was lively and positive.

These fun games lifted everyone’s spirits and warmed the atmosphere, creating a welcome contrast to feelings of loneliness.
Through game-play, the quiz reinforced key self-care principles, helping students absorb them in a fun way.

Purpose behind this activity

The purpose of the activity was to celebrate self-care and self-love. For some students, being single can sometimes feel lonely, and this event was a way to remind them that taking care of and valuing themselves is just as important — if not more so — than being in a relationship. It provided an opportunity for students to reflect on their own self-worth, appreciate their unique qualities, and strengthen their relationship with themselves. By focusing on self-love, the activity encouraged students to cultivate a positive mindset and a healthier, more supportive connection with their own well-being.
