Self-care Day

Activity description
To help students find inner peace amidst their busy studies, the school organized a "Self-care Day" stress-relief activity, offering a series of relaxing experiences for both mind and body. These included:
1️⃣ Acupressure Mat and Beanbag Game:
Students walked barefoot across the acupressure mat, feeling the release with each step. Then, from a designated distance, they threw beanbags at beanbags labeled with different words related to "worries" (e.g., academics, family, friends), symbolically releasing stress and achieving psychological release and relaxation.
2️⃣ After-School Ice Cream Truck and Mindful Eating Experience:
After school, students could redeem ice cream at the school's ice cream truck using the "ice cream coupon" obtained during the activity. Meanwhile, a "Mindful Eating" tip was displayed on the bulletin board, inviting everyone to savor the taste, temperature, and texture of the ice cream, learning to focus on the present moment and enjoy a moment of tranquility and sweetness.
Activity highlight
The atmosphere at the event was lively, with students enthusiastically participating in the acupressure mat challenge, filling the air with laughter. One student commented, "Walking on the acupressure mat really hurts, but after the pain subsides, I feel so much better!" The stress-relieving beanbag game became a popular activity, with many people throwing beanbags at their anxieties related to "academics" and "interpersonal relationships," creating a scene full of resonance and cathartic release.

The principal also participated the event with students!
After school, long lines formed in front of the ice cream truck, with students practicing mindful eating while waiting in line, following the instructions on the bulletin board. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive.

Purpose behind this activity
Self-care is not just a one-day activity, but a way of life. We hope that through this event, everyone will realize that even under pressure, we all deserve to be treated well. In the future, we hope to continue organizing various forms of mental and physical health activities to accompany everyone in learning to take care of themselves and live a more comfortable campus life.
