Scented Plaster Crafting Workshop

Taking Time & Making Care - Tuen Mun Catholic Secondary School
Arc

Activity description

On the final school day, the club hosted the "Aroma Diffuser Plaster Workshop" to help students unwind after a long semester. By mixing colors, choosing their favorite scents, and crafting personalized diffuser plasters, students released stress through sight, touch, and smell—taking home both a tranquil mindset and a great start to a happy summer break.

Activity highlight

The instructor shared fragrance basics and demonstrated key techniques. Students then focused on mixing colors, pouring molds, and picking scents, gradually releasing academic tension through the process.

Unmolding plaster requires care and patience. While a few students felt discouraged when their crafts accidentally broke, they regained confidence with the encouragement and guidance of teachers. Trying again, they successfully completed their pieces, learning resilience and gaining a true sense of accomplishment.

All the students were focused on the work in their hands; the process was incredibly soothing and calming.

Purpose behind this activity

The club hopes this hands-on workshop served as a rewarding escape for students at the end of the term. May everyone carry this sense of calm and fulfillment into a restful, joy-filled summer vacation.
