Activity description

After the exam week, many students felt stressed due to receiving their grades and the upcoming parent-teacher day. In response, the committee organized a Pastel Nagomi Art and Sensory Bottle workshop, allowing students to temporarily escape from their stress through art and creation.

Activity highlight

“Resonance of Minds” Club successfully held its first in-school wellness activity in mid-January, offering students two creative and therapeutic workshops: Pastel Nagomi Art Workshop and Sensory Bottle Workshop.

Pastel Nagomi Art Workshop — Healing the Soul with Color

The committee members first demonstrated finger painting techniques and the use of different tools, showcasing the first artwork titled "Fireworks." Students expressed their creativity by using various shapes of paper, including squares, triangles, bookmarks, and irregular hand-torn shapes, painting their own unique fireworks with different colors. During the free creation segment, students painted flowers, skies, and cartoon characters, infusing their emotions and imagination into their artworks.

Sensory Bottle Workshop — Letting Thoughts Settle with Flow

In the Sensory Bottle Workshop, students used pigments and glitter to create colorful, one-of-a-kind sensory bottles. Many students tried shaking their sensory bottles after making them, calmly observing the flow and settling of the glitter inside.

Both workshops not only provided students with opportunities to relax and relieve stress but also allowed them to experience different stress relief methods. At the same time, the committee members gained valuable experience in activity planning, promotion, resource preparation, leading the workshops, and interacting with participants, boosting their confidence for future activities!

Purpose behind this activity

The committee members hoped that the two workshops would provide students with a moment of respite, allowing them to find opportunities for relaxation amidst academic pressure. The Pastel Nagomi Art workshop enabled students to achieve inner peace through focused artistic creation. Meanwhile, the Sensory Bottle workshop allowed students to slowly let go of chaotic thoughts by concentrating on the colors and patterns they loved in the bottles. Through artistic expression, students could gradually free their minds from confusion, temporarily setting aside the various pressures they faced and experiencing the healing power of creativity.
