Mini Mindful Carnival

Activity description
The Mini Mindful Carnival, organized by Mindful Journey, took place during lunch and after school, featuring four interactive stations where students could engage with their emotions and mental health in a relaxed setting.
Students shared their feelings for the day at the Wellbeing Check-in Area and expressed experiences of joy and sadness on a sharing board. At the "Let Go of Worries" station, they wrote down their concerns on paper and tossed them into a basket, symbolizing the release of stress. Next, they visited the "Throw Out Your Stress" booth to learn various stress-relief techniques. Finally, they relaxed with snacks at the Chill Zone, completing their emotional journey!
Activity highlight
The event attracted over a hundred students and received great responses. The committee provided stress-relief gifts like heated eye masks, stress toys, and snacks. On the sharing board, students shared their excitement about the upcoming three-day holiday and their feelings on receiving exam results. This activity allowed everyone to express themselves and connect with each other, showing a variety of real emotions. Overall, it was a positive experience that brought the community together.

Students are encouraged to share recent fun or challenging experiences, creating a space to leave behind worries and embrace happiness!
At the "Let Go of Worries" station, students wrote down their worries and tossed them toward a basketball hoop, symbolizing the act of letting go of pressure. We were heartened to see students willing to open up and bravely express their true feelings, which included concerns about family pressure, academic challenges, exam anxiety, and feelings of sadness. It is important to let students know that their pressures are understood and their emotions can be expressed.

Students toss paper balls with their worries written on them and received snacks in return!
The most popular booth was the Chill Zone, where students shared, "We rarely get the chance to relax at school." Many students lounged on inflatable sofas, chatting with friends and enjoying some well-deserved downtime. The committee noted that all participants were able to "let go of their stress" and experience a moment of peace.

Students relaxed on the inflatable sofas for a brief rest, occasionally dozing off. We hope everyone takes advantage of this activity to unwind and catch up on some sleep!
Purpose behind this activity
The committee aims for this activity to provide students with the opportunity to recognize their emotions, understand the sources of their stress, and practice sharing and listening to others' concerns. Through games and interactions, students can learn to express their emotions in a positive way and find moments to relax amidst their busy school days.
