Mental Health Promotion Booths

Taking Time & Making Care - Tuen Mun Catholic Secondary School
Arc

Activity description

The club collaborated with various NGOs and Wellness+ mentors to set up mental health promotion booths over two consecutive days. Booth activities included "Lucky Sticky Twist," "Decompression Scented Sachet," "Emotional Knowledge Beanbag Toss," "Blessing Encouragement Wall," and more. The event attracted nearly 200 participants (both teachers and students) each day.

Activity highlight

On the first day, due to poor weather and rain, we moved the event to the indoor lower hall. On the second day, with better weather, we held it at the outdoor playground, which made it more visible and attracted more participants. Long queues appeared at various booths on the second day.

Lucky Sticky Twist Booth

This was the most popular booth because students loved the prizes we selected. In the game, they drew stickers or dolls with positive quotes, which they enjoyed very much.

Decompression Scented Sachet Booth

We provided over ten types of scents for students to choose from freely, allowing them to enjoy the relaxation and peace brought by the aroma to achieve a stress-relief effect. During the production process, students relaxed their nerves through the sense of smell.

Emotional Knowledge Beanbag Toss Booth

We designed questions of varying difficulty levels, asking students to toss beanbags to select the correct answers. Students answered seriously after reading the display boards, which helped increase their emotional health knowledge.

Blessing Encouragement Wall

Students were invited to write down their difficulties, and others wrote encouraging words or solutions. A teacher shared that chasing students for homework is difficult, but he will still use his perseverance to encourage students to finish!

After reading the display boards, students answer the questions seriously. It is believed that they will certainly increase their knowledge of emotional health.

是次籌備和運作,雖然有點辛苦,但看到大家也投入參與,也很有滿足感。

Purpose behind this activity

The club committee hopes that through these activities, students can acquire mental wellness information in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, enhancing their emotional health knowledge, equipping them with stress-relief methods, and encouraging self-care and care for others. Although the preparation and operation were a bit tiring, seeing everyone participate so actively brought a great sense of satisfaction.
