FUN Falling Asleep & FUN Ways to Stress Less

Activity description
The activity stalls were designed to respond to the sources of stress and reactions that students reported during the first event.
Activity highlight
The stress-relief methods written by students during the first Wellness Activity can largely be grouped into two categories ā āRestā and āFunā. With the upcoming uniform test fast approaching, the Student Wellness Club, keen to address the academic pressure students are feeling, organised the second Wellness Activity in mid-March ā āFUN Falling Asleep & FUN Ways to Stress Lessā, offering students a chance to rest and build resilience through various fun stalls. The activity attracted 74 teachers and students to participate.Ā
Held during lunchtime, the activity featured two stalls set up by the Student Wellness Club in the school hall. At the āFUN Falling Asleepā stall, students could pop on disposable eye masks, earplugs, and pillows, then rest on an inflatable sleeping bag. The goal was to refresh and recharge, giving them more energy to dive back into lessons after a short break. Over at the āFUN Ways to Stress Lessā stall, there were cones representing both healthy and unhealthy stress-relief methods. Students needed to toss hula hoops onto the cones marked with healthy ways to relieve stress in order to succeed. The Student Committee also took the opportunity to teach students how to manage stress in a healthy, effective way.

The committee also arranged game stalls to help students identify healthy ways to relieve stress.
Purpose behind this activity
The Student Wellness Club hopes that students will learn healthy stress-relief methods from the stalls and take the opportunity to rest before the upcoming tests. We believe these moments of relaxation will help them recharge and face the challenges ahead with renewed energy and focus.
