Form1 Welcoming Session

Broom - Carmel Holy Word Secondary School
Arc

Activity description

Through various group games, committee members and Form 1 students can build interpersonal relationships. Committee members will play the role of older brothers and sisters, sharing their experiences with Form 1 students. This helps new students gain a deeper understanding of the school, increase their sense of belonging, and reduce anxiety and stress about adapting to secondary school. Additionally, it provides leadership training opportunities for committee members.

Activity highlight

The Boom Club successfully held the 3rd wellness activity in July, with approximately 120 Form 1 students participating. The activity included icebreaker games such as guessing game and wooden boards drawing session to express feelings.

Form 1 students actively participated in the game.

Purpose behind this activity

To help the Form 1 students adapt to secondary school life, the club hopes to build good interpersonal relationships with them through the welcoming session, reduce their stress of adapting to secondary school, and thus enhance their resilience.
