Activity description

Squashing stress and moulding unique clay creatures to give mind a much-needed break.

Activity highlight

On 10th March, the Student Wellness Club hosted the third wellness activity —"Fed up/Had enough" To turn that "fed up" feeling into something creative. The club welcomed a massive crowd of 100 students, all ready to get their hands messy and their minds clear.

Committee members provided a rainbow of lightweight clay, inviting everyone to follow their creative gut and mold their very own "Cute Creatures". From quirky aliens to tiny mascots, the imagination on display was next-level! To top it off, they provided display boxes so everyone could take their new desk buddies home—a tiny, squishy reminder to keep a healthy study-life balance and look after their mental health. But the creativity didn't stop there! Students also teamed up for a collaborative art installation, adding their own vibes and flair to a "Giant Creatures" sculpture. It was a brilliant way to see the collective emotions transformed into a unique piece of school art. And because no event is complete without snacks, our Egg Waffle Stall was a total hit! The queue was long, but the wait was worth it for that freshly baked aroma. Seeing everyone sharing a warm snack and laughing with mates after a long day of lessons was the perfect end to the wellness journey.

Channelling their inner vibes: students customised unique "Cute Creatures" to stand by them through thick and thin.

Purpose behind this activity

Committee members chose this theme because sometimes, words aren't enough to express how "fed up" we feel with school stress. Working with clay is a sensory way to decompress; it allows you to literally "shape" your feelings and release suppressed tension.
