Fan Art Workshop

Activity description
In this Fan Art Workshop, which blends traditional art with creativity, students got to experience the magical flow of colours on water. By dripping prepared lacquer into water, then gently placing and rotating the white fan surface on top, the colours swirled and intertwined randomly to create one-of-a-kind patterns. This wasn’t just about making a craft—it was a journey of self-reflection. Students could freely choose their colours and designs, using the fan as a canvas to express their emotions and create their own personalised, therapeutic masterpiece.
Activity highlight
The atmosphere at the event was both relaxed and focused, with everyone thoughtfully selecting colours while chatting and sharing creative ideas. Every so often, the room was filled with excited “Wow!” moments as surprises unfolded. Some chose bright colours to release stress, while others used darker tones to express their inner emotions. Each finished fan was like a miniature piece of art, showcasing the unique beauty and imagination of every participant.

Purpose behind this activity
We hope that activities like this can offer everyone a chance to set aside their stress and take a moment to listen to their inner thoughts. Through simple crafts, participants can discover their own creative potential. In the future, we look forward to organising more activities that combine art and mental health, providing students with a much-needed space to breathe and an outlet for their emotions amidst their busy lives.
