“Emotion Headquarters" Booth Games

Activity description

To encourage students to embrace their diverse feelings, our club organized the “Emotion Headquarters” Booth Games in June. Five specialized booths—“Joy,” “Sadness,” “Anger,” “Fear,” and “Disgust”—were set up at the covered playground. Through mini-games tailored to each emotion, the event guided students to recognize the characteristics and coping mechanisms of various feelings in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. The club aimed to encourage students to voice their feelings to enhance emotional expression, remind them to accept the value of every emotion, and teach healthy regulation strategies for handling stress or anxiety. For every booth completed, students collected a corresponding emotional encouragement card. Upon gathering all five stamps, they received a lovely little gift as a gentle daily reminder to practice self-care.

Activity highlight

The event kicked off at the covered playground during lunchtime, instantly drawing a crowd of enthusiastic students and creating a vibrant atmosphere. From writing notes on the Gratitude Wall at the "Joy Station" to taking on situational challenges, students fully immersed themselves in the activities. Seeing their faces light up with satisfaction and joy as they collected the colorful emotional encouragement cards and successfully redeemed their little gifts was truly heartwarming.

The activity served as a soothing pause amid academic routines while successfully fostering a positive, open atmosphere for emotional wellness on campus. Many participants shared that the games were both engaging and comforting, helping them realize that feeling down or fearful is a normal part of life, and what matters most is learning how to acknowledge and regulate those feelings.

With introductions from our committee members at the emotion stations, students have gained a deeper understanding of each feeling!

Purpose behind this activity

Through the “Emotion Headquarters” booth games, the club hopes to enhance students' self-awareness and acceptance of their own emotions. We hope that through these low-pressure and playful interactions, students can understand that every emotion holds value, learn to rest when overwhelmed, and ultimately build stronger psychological resilience against daily challenges.
