Dog Tricks Game

Activity description
In collaboration with Rise Wise Foundation, this activity features a dog tricks game conducted in small groups. Interacting with and stroking the dogs can effectively release "happiness hormones". The activity aims to help students relieve stress and reduce feelings of anxiety and depression. Furthermore, it allows students to understand dogs' habits and cultivate love, patience, and a sense of responsibility in a relaxed and fun environment. This enhances students' respect and care for life, fostering a campus atmosphere filled with love and warmth.
Activity highlight
The wellness club "Ju’s MindHarvest" held the second in-school wellness activity, the "Dog Tricks Game" in early April. In collaboration with the Rise Wise Foundation, the committee members organised the club's first-ever animal-assisted activity, which attracted 27 participants who came to learn about the activity. The event began with committee members introducing the purpose of the activity—to help students relieve stress amidst their busy studies and to explain how animals can effectively enhance physical and mental well-being. The Foundation then introduced proper ways to interact with dogs, followed by interactive games in two groups, including "Music Passing Ball Game" and leading the dogs through an obstacle course. Students participated enthusiastically and with radiant smiles. They expressed feeling incredibly happy and relaxed by the opportunity to bond with the dogs, and many took photos to capture the precious memories.
Students are undergoing an obstacle course activity with the therapy dog.
Purpose behind this activity
To release students' post-examination stress, the wellness club expects that the animal-assisted activity will help alleviate negative emotions, reduce anxiety and depression, and promote overall physical and mental wellness.
