Activity description

Bubble soccer is a team-based activity where students wear inflatable bubble suits that cover their upper bodies and heads. Participants are divided into teams and play a modified version of soccer. The main objective is to score goals by kicking the ball into the opposing team’s net, while safely bumping into one another using the bubble suits. External facilitators will come with the materials and will facilitate all the rules. The activity begins with a safety briefing and instructions on how to properly wear the equipment. Students then take part in short matches, with rules adapted to prioritize fun, safety, and participation over competition. Throughout the game, students are encouraged to communicate, collaborate with teammates, and enjoy the playful nature of the activity.

Activity highlight

A standout moment of the event was the bubble soccer competition, where students stepped into oversized inflatable spheres and faced off in a series of lighthearted matches. The activity blended physical exertion with sheer entertainment—players ran, dodged, and collided safely while chasing the ball across the polished wooden floor. Cheers and laughter echoed throughout the hall as teammates strategized on the fly and celebrated every goal. Beyond the fun, the game served as an engaging lesson in teamwork and perseverance, as students quickly learned that getting knocked over was just part of the game—and getting back up was what truly mattered.

On the eve of the Final Exam, students and teachers gathered for a rare and joyful moment together, clustering around the giant inflatable bubble suits for “Bubble Football”, grinning with excitement. For a while, they put their books down and traded study pressure for a fun, stress-busting thrill.
Under the guidance of professional instructors, students were carefully introduced to the activity rules and safety guidelines, gaining a clear understanding of the process while feeling reassured and confident. This was followed by a series of energetic warm-up exercises, preparing everyone physically and mentally for the upcoming Bubble Football practice and matches. In a relaxed, upbeat atmosphere, participants stretched and moved, gradually slipping into the state of flow while looking forward to the exciting moments ahead.
Working together, the students held onto the bubble suits and lined them up neatly in a row, creating a playful “bubble tunnel.” One student then nimbly crawled through the gaps between the bubbles. It wasn’t easy, but through the activity she learned to stay resilient under pressure and try to figure out solutions on her own. After successfully making it through, she turned to the camera with a thumbs-up, her face beaming with confidence and joy. The scene lightened the mood and helped create a low-pressure, relaxed environment.
Inside the school hall, students delve into a fun-filled Bubble Football experience, wearing giant red-and-white inflatable protective bubbles. Even though teammates came from different forms, they cheered one another on and offered constant support, building genuine friendships along the way.
The red-and-white and blue-and-white bubble teams faced off on opposite sides. The mood instantly shifted to something tense and adrenaline-charged. With the showdown about to begin, both sides were raring to go, and the “battle” officially started amid cheers and laughter. In that moment, winning or losing didn't matter, what mattered was soaking in the joy and dopamine rush that comes from moving, colliding, and playing freely.
Facing off on the field, players from both teams stared straight ahead with steady determination, their expressions focused and brimming with fighting spirit. As the match intensified, the noise and excitement all around only stoked their competitive drive. Fueled by chants of encouragement, bonds between classmates grew closer and stronger. As the atmosphere continued to heat up, their concentration and commitment helped them set aside academic pressure for a while and slip into a state of flow. Through the game, they released pent-up emotions and rebalanced both body and mind, finding brief moments of relaxation amid the interweaving tension and laughter.

Purpose behind this activity

To help students relax, stay active, and build resilience, the club organized a bubble soccer activity at school led by an external provider. This fun, team-based sport encouraged students to move their bodies, work together, and enjoy a lighthearted experience. At the same time, bubble soccer will offer a playful but powerful reminder of resilience—students had to repeatedly get back up after being knocked down, reflecting how we can bounce back from challenges in life.
